Drama project atPett will help thosewith disabilities

Pett based Boathouse Theatre Company is launching a new multi-sensory drama group for those with Profound and Life Limiting Disabilities.

The sessions will start from September 15 at Pett Village Hall from 2:30 - 3:30pm and will be run by April Grant, a teaching Assistant from Glyne Gap School at Bexhill.

Boathouse founder Kevin Barry said: “ This is a project we have been looking at doing for some time but it was very important that we found the right person to do these sessions. April comes to us with a wealth of experience.

April said: “The drama group is a perfect opportunity to create friendships within a controlled, structured , fun environment.”

Boathouse also runs three other projects which are a Saturday group for children aged 5 - 12 at Glyne Gap School, Bexhill. from 10.30 - 12.30 Saturdays during term time; a Sunday group for 16 - 26 plus at Pett Village Hall from 10.30 - 12.45 during term and a Wednesday service for Parchment Trust Cooperative which is for young adults with disabilities.

Kevin said: “ Boathouse is very popular amongst all our members and we currently have some vacancies.”
