The TV star remembered Lynn and Sharon from a complaint letter they wrote to him as little girls in 1976.

They had spotted cuddly toys were missing as prizes on the show's famous conveyor belt.

Sharon, aged six, sent a message saying: 'Please don't do it again!'

The cuddly toy controversy became a light-hearted theme throughout the show's history.

Thirty years later Bruce wanted the pair to come along and take part in the programme.

Lynn, a PA, said: 'When you are young cuddly toys are very important to you.'

Sharon, a housewife, said producers arranged cuddly toys on the conveyor belt as a joke.

She added: 'We ended up with nine toys, seven for our children and two for us.

'Bruce Forsyth is such a nice man.

'He was very, very friendly and put everyone at ease.
