Delays after train derailment in Bognor Regis

There were delays on the railways this morning (Friday, November 14) after a train derailed in Bognor Regis.

Train services between Bognor Regis and Barnham were disrupted due to the 'low speed' derailment of the 5.30am Southern service to Brighton outside the Bognor station.

The line was blocked between Bognor and Barnham.

Replacement buses have been operating between Bognor to Littlehampton via Barnham.

A statement from Southern said: "This is likely to continue throughout the morning and passengers are advised to allow more time for their journeys.

"We apologise for the inconvenience caused this morning."

No-one has been reported as being injured by the accident.
