Death crash woman named

A woman died in a three-vehicle smash on the A22 near Uckfield at 3.25pm on Tuesday.

Teresa Morgan, 51, was driving a silver Vauxhall Vectra northbound when it was in collision with a Leyland Daf tipper being driven south by a 64-year-old man from Hailsham.

The tipper was then in collision with a Ford Fiesta van driven by a 48-year-old London man which had been travelling behind the Vectra.

Teresa Morgan from Polegate suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Firefighters from Uckfield and Lewes attended. The by-pass was re-opened to through traffic at 8.18pm.
