Man arrested after robbery at Eastbourne Betfred

Police have arrested a man after a robbery at Betfred betting shop in the Langney shopping centre, Eastbourne.

Police said the robbery happened on Wednesday (November 28) at 9.10pm.

A police spokesman said two men threatened staff and stole a large quantity of cash before making off.

A 25-year-old man was later detained on suspicion of robbery. He has been released under investigation, police said.

Detectives said they are linking this robbery with two similar ones at the Tesco store in Seaside and the Co-op store in Milfoil Drive on Saturday (November 24).
