March 10:

Shelley Bissett, 31, of Jevington Gardens, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to stealing health and beauty products worth £271.83 from Superdrug in Eastbourne, on November 21, last year. She was given a 16-month conditional discharge.

Kirk Spooner, 36, of Southern Road, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to assaulting a police officer. The offence took place at Hastings on October 8 last year. The court made a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement and ordered him to pay £50 in compensation.

Helder De Caires, 49, of Ceylon Place, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer. 
The offence took place at Seaside Road, Eastbourne, on January 14. He also pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place at Seaside Road, on the same date. The court made a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement.

Naomi Pelling, 43, of Elms Avenue, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to assaulting a paramedic. The offence took place at Eastbourne on August 8 last year. She also pleaded guilty to two charges of assault by beating at Eastbourne on August 22. She pleaded guilty to stealing chocolate and a throw from The Range, at Lottbridge Drove, Eastbourne, on August 22 and to three charges of assault by beating and four charges of assaulting a police officer at Eastbourne, on the same date. She pleaded guilty to destroying pots and plants, belonging to The Range, at Eastbourne on August 22 and to being in possession of a small quantity of cannabis on the same date. 
She pleaded guilty to two charges of damaging front doors and electrical boxes at Eastbourne on May 28. 
She indicated a plea of guilty to burglary at Wroxham Road, Eastbourne, on October 1, stealing keys and torches. She indicated guilty pleas to two charges of assaulting a police officer at Eastbourne on October 6. She was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on April 7 and released on unconditional bail.

Darren Sands, 42, of Hamsey Close, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to entering the Nursery, at St Elisabeth’s Church, Eastbourne, as a trespasser on August 2, last year, and stealing keys, a cashbox containing £20 and various tools. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £419 in compensation.

March 15:

Jamie Russell, 28, of Malvern Close, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assault by beating at Hailsham on October 31. The court made a community order with a requirement of 120 hours of unpaid work. Magistrates issues a restraining order.

Jimmy Stonestreet, 29, of Her Majesty’s Prison Rochester, pleaded guilty to assault by beating at Hailsham on October 31. 
He also pleaded guilty to causing damage to a door, window and concrete dog at Hailsham on the same date. 
He was fined £280. Magistrates issued a restraining order.

March 17:

Paul Hopton, 49, of Dudley Road, Tunbridge Wells, pleaded guilty to stealing food and alcohol worth £32.50, from Tesco, at Seaside Road, Eastbourne, on January 20. He was given a one-year conditional discharge.
