This year, the money raised by the owners of the Pagham holiday park, Haven, will be donated to RNLI Selsey Lifeboat Station and Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice, while the money raised by staff will be donated to Children in Need.

Supermarket manager Dean Mattravers said: “We run a variety of stands, stalls and raffles, with the top prize a family holiday.

“We tend to raise around £5,000 to £6,000 a year with this summer fête event. It’s a fantastic day and great fun.

“This year, we would like to invite the wider community to attend and hopefully raise even more.”

The day will start at 11am on the main green and included will be a bouncy castle, quad bike and tractor rides.

Most of the staff will be in fancy dress and at 3pm, there will be a parade through the park of all the staff and service vehicles.
