Communitea event at Grosvenor House
BUPA'S GROSVENOR Park nursing and residential care home held a 'Communitea' book sale event to raise funds for the Parkinsons disease society.
Activities organiser Chris Cox came up with the idea to spell 'communitea' in such a novel way as she said she wanted the event to be a social occasion open to both residents of the nursing home and local people, offering "free tea, refreshments and the opportunity for people to get together for a natter."
Chris said that they had a "better turn out than expected" and the sale of books, CDs and videos raised a total of 130.00.
