Cllr Paul Wells helps boost Bognor's seafront lights appeal with Then and Now calendar

THEN and Now is the theme of the 2009 calendar produced to raise money for next year's Bognor Regis seafront lights.

Each year a calendar depicting familiar Bognor scenes goes on sale at a number of the town's shops and the proceeds are used to help fund the summer lights which are switched on for six months every year.

The calendar's producers are hoping people will purchase the Then and Now calendar, which shows monthly images of a local scene today and how it looked years ago, during the festive season.

Proprietor of Unique Promotions Printing & Embroidery who make the calendars, Paul Wells, said: "We do like to support the community and we have raised many hundreds of pounds over the last few years producing a calendar for the seafront lights.

"This year several other local shops have kindly agreed to carry the calendar which should help increase sales and make it easier to obtain."

Seafront Lights chairman Jason Passingham added: "The calendars make excellent Christmas gifts so it's a great way of supporting a local cause while doing your normal Christmas shopping."
