Chance to run Bognor's seafront market

Potential operators have the chance to run the market on Bognor Regis seafront.

Arun District Council has given hopefuls until December 1 to submit informal tenders to stage the popular feature on the Place St Maur.

Traders’ markets will be expected to take place every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Expressions of interest are also being sought for a farmers’ market on Wednesdays and craft markets on Fridays.

An operating licence for the traders’ market is being offered for three years, with a break option after two years.

The Observer reported in September Mac Eastoll was about to stop running the traders’ market after 13 years.

The tender exercise is being carried out by Chichester District Council on Arun’s behalf because the two authorities have combined their concessions work.
