The elegant seafront at Bexhill was crowded with walkers, enjoying the sunshine and the calm wash of the gentle high tide this Monday. At the far west end, an unusual display graced the pebbles. There was a dragon with a squint and three other mythical beasts, all made of carefully selected coloured pebbles. The sculptor said he had travelled round the coast from Brighton and back, making his sculptures, but had been persuaded by his girl friend to settle in Bexhill. Let`s hope his creations survive long enough for lots of us to enjoy them.

This Sunday is Mothering Sunday and the Family Service at the Parish Church will be a very special one, starting at 9.15 am.
