Easter Fayre: Catsfield Pre-school would like to thank everyone who helped put together a successful Easter Fayre. Special thanks to Mr & Mrs Keyte for bringing along the lambs: Twinkle and Lucy, a huge hit with the children. Pickle Kids and Toad Stools showed off their wares. We also had an Easter egg hunt, snail racing and some rather delicious home-baked cakes. All the hard work and donations helped raise £355, which will go towards new equipment for the Pre-school children. Winners of the Colouring Competition are on our website.

Sport: The Parish Council have just had the whole of the Playing Field spike-rolled in almost perfect conditions for this essential piece of maintenance to be undertaken. This will help the drainage and flatten out the rough bits after the wet winter. The cricket club will shortly be scarifying and preparing the wicket. Then the next event will be the dates of stoolball practices appearing on the notice board and thus the cycle of seasonal sporting events will continue as they have for decades.

Mobile Library: Today the East Sussex Mobile Library will be in its usual place outside the Village Hall at 11.55am – 12.30pm
