Car overturns near Battle causing delays

Heavy delays were caused when a car overturned near Battle just after lunchtime today (Saturday, August 1).

The accident happened close to the Telham Lane and Powdermill Lane junction at 12.13pm.

Police said one person was treated for minor injuries.

The road was closed in both directions for nearly an hour, causing congestion to back up to Ninfield.
