Walk: The next parish footpath walk will take place on Monday morning. You are all very welcome to join in. It is a great way to keep fit, meet new friends and old acquaintances and keep the network of public footpaths o-en and in good repair. The walkers will set of at 9am from the Bear car park with Roger Cloke as your guide. The walks usually end in time for lunch.

Café:- The Happy Café will be open again on Monday morning. This is a regular weekly event held in the Bear Motel from 10.30am and is open to all. Good for getting out of the house and meeting up with friends.

Lunch: Also on Monday the Age Uk Burwash branch will be having their monthly lunch club at the Bear Motel from 12 noon. If you are over 55 and would like to join them you would be most welcome. The delicious fresh cooked two course meal will cost you £8. To book a place please call Jean Plummer on 01435 883483. All are welcome to go along. Jean may also be able to help with transport if you need help to get there.

Coffee: The members of the Burwash ladies group are to hold a coffee morning on Wednesday at Linden Cottage, by kind invitation of Anne & Philip Cutler. They will welcome you from 10.30am. Do go and join them for delicious home made cakes and refreshments.

Fete: On Saturday 12 august, The Burwash Common and weald playing fields will be holding their annual Summer fair. This will include competitions for children. A fruit or/and or vegetable model, a decorated hard boiled egg, a model made from recycled materials and a lego model or scene. The competitions are open to children 14 years and under. For all ages is the longest runner bean. Get the children busy now in readiness for the day.
