BREAKING: Mystery still surrounds death of Eastbourne woman, inquest hears
An inquest has heard that mystery still surrounds the death of an Eastbourne woman '“ almost two years after she died.
Police treated the death of 36-year-old Emma Crowhurst as a murder investigation after the 36-year-old street drinker was found with severe head injuries lying in Chawbrook Road in 2015.
She was rushed to Eastbourne DGH and later transferred to Hurstwood Park where she died days later.
But nobody has ever been brought to justice for Emma’s death and a coroner at an inquest at Eastbourne Town Hall this afternoon (Wednesday) recorded an open verdict.
