Battle Area Community Transport is proposing a new Monday only bus service from Bodiam but urgently needs to know of there is a demand from this. If interested please contact Lyn on 01424 772001.

Next fixture for the village cricket club is on may 12 away to a side that has the name W.G. Gracefully Cricket Club of Isfield. Play starts at 2pm.

At the Bodiam Church of England Primary School governors meeting, Barbara Napper is the new chairman and George Bailey is the vice chair. The Ofsted result says the school is good. Teaching across the school is consistently good with much that is outstanding and the behaviour and safety of pupils if outstanding.

Next meeting of the parish council is on May 13 at 7pm in The Parish Room and the Bodiam Community Friends meets at the Castle Inn at 6pm on May 15.

The next service at St Giles is on May 19 at 11.15am and is Holy Communion and Gordon the vicar will take the service.

The primary school has a walking bus starting from Levetts Lane it has many benefits like less traffic at the school gates and lots more. For more information phone Pam Marsh on 01580 830662.

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Painter from Levetts Lane on the happy event - yet one more for the primary school and pre-school. We all hope if more people could give birth in Bodiam this would be great for the village.
