Bid to reduce speed limit

A STRETCH of the A26 near Isfield could soon be subject to a reduced speed limit.

County highways chiefs are advertising their intention to reduce the limit from 60 to 50mph on a stretch of the road from Kiln Lane northwards to a point south of the A22 roundabout.

Comments on the scheme - intended to improve road safety - should be made by June 6.
