Beautiful music filled church
The range of music stretched from William Walton’s patriotic Spitfire Prelude and Crown Imperial to the demanding Fantasia and Fugue in G Minor by JS Bach and Suite Gothique written by Boellmann.
Church press officer Lawrence Wood said: “It was a great honour to have James Lloyd Thomas come and give his services to this year’s series of lunchtime concerts.

“The centrepiece of the concert was the Suite Gothique by Boellman which showed off the remarkable ability of James Lloyd Thomas. It was simply an amazing performance of this gifted player. The notes and rhythms simply poured out of the organ.”
