Chief Inspector Heather Keating, chair of the Safer Rother Partnership, said: "This event was very popular last year so as the winter arrives we wanted to hold it again as residents have a role in protecting themselves.

"Burglary is low in Rother and we are working hard to keep it so, but residents can play their part by taking a few simple steps."

Advice will be given about a range of ways to make homes secure, including property marking valuables.

Each resident will be welcome to take a free UV property marking pen, and Immobilise scheme information.

Refreshments will be available throughout the event.
