Arundel band’s notes will be the key to helping support families

Rock band The Alternatives turned their musical notes into the monetary kind to generate cash for an Arundel-based charity.

The band, also from Arundel, have donated £1,000 to Home-Start Arun, from the proceeds of performances they stage for good causes.

Lori Monaghan, a trustee of the charity, and wife of the band’s lead guitarist Chris, said: “Home-Start Arun is a wonderful charity, supporting vulnerable families with children under the age of five.

“Like many charities, Home-Start is struggling to raise funds, and The Alternatives are delighted to help such a worthy cause. Funds such as these from The Alternatives are very much appreciated”

The band’s John Prideaux presented the cheque to Home-Start trustees’ chairman Dr Chris Warren-Adamson.
