Arsonists strike in Rustington

ARSONISTS destroyed a notice board outside a Rustington electricity sub-station on Friday night (October, 19).

The board, in Churchill Parade and owned by Rustington Parish Council, was set alight at about 11.20pm. The flames spread to around 2m of the sub-station fencing, though the building itself was not affected.

A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue confirmed that the fire that been set deliberately.

Fire crews from East Preston used a hose reel to put out the flames.
