Appeal for witnesses to windscreen damage

Did you see anyone hurling stones at cars or buildings in Cooden or the town centre last week?

A number of crimes were committed during the evening of Monday October 26 and the early hours of Tuesday October 27 when car windscreens were smashed or cracked in Cooden Sea Road, Cooden Drive and Cranston Avenue.

Windows in two buildings were also broken, one in Sackville road and the other in Cooden Sea Road.

It is believed that large pebbles or stones from the beach were used.

Sussex Police are now appealing for any witnesses that may have heard anything or seen anyone potentially responsible. Serial number 245:27/10/09 can be quoted as a reference for anyone calling in or visiting the Police Station with further information.
