Appeal after Littlehampton pub assault

Emergency services were called to the pub in Wharf Road at 11.09pm where a 24-year-old man had been attacked and sustained a nasty head wound.

His suspected attacker had run from the pub immediately afterwards. The victim was taken to St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester for treatment and later released.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1479 of 29/12.

A 26-year-old man from Littlehampton was arrested on Friday morning on suspicion of GBH. He has been bailed until February 2.
