Sixty-four-year-old June Wilma Fulton had been staying with her partner Colin Grostate at the Hydro Hotel in Eastbourne during a break from her home in Thirlmere Avenue, Ramsgate, Kent.

On the morning of January 4 this year, the post office supervisor told Mr Grostate she was going for a walk.

Her body was found at the foot of cliffs.

An inquest into Mrs Fulton’s death was held at Eastbourne Town Hall on Wednesday (September 23).

The inquest was told Mrs Fulton had suffered with extended periods of ill health and in December last year was told she had terminal throat cancer.

East Sussex coroner James Healy-Pratt recorded a verdict that Mrs Fulton had taken her own life and had intended to do so following extended ill health.
