Interview with YMCA resident
A 24-year-old Y Centre resident has shared how her attitudes towards the people staying at the YMCA on Albion Road, Horsham changed two years after saying ‘absolutely not’ to moving in.
Charlotte Worsfold, of Billingshurst, now a carer at Bolney Under Fives, initially refused to move into the Y Centre but ‘gave in’ in October 2011 after she was attacked by a man and suffered from anxiety while living in a tent.
She said: “I can say hand on heart I was so wrong to think that the YMCA was a place for people on drugs and of antisocial behaviour.”
