After the footage was filmed, the Met Office stated that more lightning is expected later today (Friday July 18) and over the weekend,

Residents have been sending in their pictures and videos of lightning to the County Times that took place across the district around 2am this morning.

Shaun Rands was lucky to capture a fork lightning on film, video above.
