New dates are Wednesday, August 12, Thursday, August 13, Friday, August 14, Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16

To celebrate the reopening of the DLWP, Eddie is returning with an abridged version of his latest comedy world tour Wunderbar. Eddie may be adding in a scene or two from past shows for good measure.

It will be offered live from the rooftop of the DLWP in COVID safe conditions. The show will go ahead, come rain or shine.

Tickets are: single chair (provided by DLWP) £25; pair of deckchairs (provided by DLWP) £50; and blanket space for four (blanket not provided) £100.

Running time approx. 75min plus interval. All artist profits will go to the De la Warr Pavilion. This show may contain “strong and imaginative language.”

The online box office is open every day, 24 hours a day for bookings.

Eddie grew up in Bexhill and went to school in Eastbourne.

A spokesman said: “The show is a work-in-progress solo reading/performance of Charles Dickens' classic epic Great Expectations – a tale of convicts, mystery, friendship, rivalry, unrequited love, revenge and redemption.

“Actor, comedian… Eddie’s career spans both of these with record-breaking comedy tours and critically acclaimed film, TV and theatre performances. But few know that it was acting that was Eddie’s first love. These warm-up shows offer the chance to see Eddie in a series of work-in-progress shows during which he follows in Dickens’ footsteps with his reading/performance of the master’s much-loved classic story.”
