Saluting the heroes of Battle of Britain
BBC Radio 2 Friday Night is Music Night will mark the 75th anniversary of the Battle Of Britain with a live cinema experience from Biggin Hill.
This will be screened at the De La Warr Pavilion on Friday September 18 from 7.30pm.
‘The Battle Of Britain At 75’ tells the epic story of the greatest aerial conflict of WW2. Jeremy Vine and Sophie Raworth will be joined by the BBC Concert Orchestra and musicians from the armed forces and guest singers as they share compelling stories from the battle. A 30 minute film, shown as part of the concert exclusively to cinema audiences, shows a close up tour of a Spitfire and veteran fighter pilots recounting their memories of the Battle Of Britain.
