Hear the joy of Vocal Explosion at The Stade

Vocal Explosion world music choir will be bringing hot African and Latin rhythms, the rich and moving harmonies of Georgia and Eastern Europe, plus the upbeat joy of gypsy wedding music to The Stade Open Space next weekend.

For this performance, which is part of the free Stade Saturdays programme, Vocal Explosion led by musical director Juliet Russell, will be joined by some of the finest musicians in the South East including violinist Garry Blakeley, three-piece brass section, and smouldering Afro-Latin percussion section.

Over the past few years Hastings’ Vocal Explosion has been performing to packed houses, including two sell-out winter concerts at St Clements Church, and at festivals around Sussex. The repertoire includes traditional pieces from all over the world as well as original compositions by Juliet Russell. Vocal Explosion is a non-auditioning community choir, open to all adults, and new members are welcome in September.
