THEATRE: Columbo sets off on murder trail


THE UK national tour of Prescription: Murder comes to the Devonshire Park Theatre from March 29-April 2.

Prescription: Murder features the legendary Lieutenant Columbo in his first ever case. Psychiatrist Roy Fleming and his wife are celebrating their anniversary when he is called to deal with a female patient.

On returning he has to soothe his angry wife with the promise of a vacation. But when Flemming’s wife is found dead, Columbo is brought in to investigate and seeds of doubt are planted in his mind. .Leading a stellar cast for the 2011 production, which also includes Richard Walsh (London’s Burning) and Alexandra Boyd (Coronation Street), is Brian Capron, (playing villain, Dr Flemming).

Evening performances are at 7.45pm with Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm. Tickets cost from £13.50-£19.50, call 412000.
