Using the words of actual witnesses in the case the play, Yours truly, Jack the Ripper comes to the Under Ground Theatre on Friday October 23 at 7.30pm.
This production brings to life the true and terrible facts of when in 1888 five women were brutally murdered on the street of East London. Their killer was never caught, but more than a century later that name still is an emblem of menace. This drama looks at the case through the eyes of the Commissioner of Metropolitan Police. As he resigns on the day of the last murder he recounts the terrible weeks when East London was under a reign of fear and the world held its breath. Written by Patrick Prior, directed by Jim Dunk and performed by Pat Abernethy and Dave Marsden from Isosceles theatre company.
