Hits of the silver screen will be given the technicolour big band treatment as Swingin’ At The Movies with The Len Phillips Big Band and Gary Wilmot sways into the Congress Theatre on Sunday September 11 at 3pm
West End and TV star Gary Wilmot is joining the band for this one-off special concert. Along with the band’s very own Eleanor Keenan, he will perform classic songs from some of the greatest film scores ever written, such as Top Hat, Show Boat, My Fair Lady, Cabaret, Singin’ In The Rain, West Side Story, Gigi and Guys & Dolls.
Heard regularly on BBC Radio 2 the 16 piece band is recognised as one of the best of its kind. Players in the band have worked with Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, and Ella Fitzgerald. This summer they make their annual return to Eastbourne for what is always a special concert.
