Strictly tea dance at the Winter Garden

After the splurge of Christmas Day escape the sofa and leftovers and head to the Boxing Day Tea Dance at the Winter Garden from 2-5pm, - it’s a great way to burn off some of those mince pies.

All are welcome on the dance floor to sashay to the sounds of Chris Mannion, or just listening to the music. Expect sequence, swing, foxtrot, quickstep and waltz and many other classic dances, all with a Christmassy twist.

The Winter Garden in Compton Street is a Grade II listed building, designed by architect Henry Currey and built in 1875. The Floral Hall, where all Tea Dances are held, was originally used as a skating rink in winter and concert hall in summer. So stretch out your festive celebrations in style and, as Tess and Claudia would say, keep dancing.

Tickets £8, including tea and biscuits, can be purchased from Box Office on 01323 412000 or book online at
