SPITFIRE Solo will be performed at Eastbourne College Theatre on April 28 (7.30pm).
Peter was a fighter pilot in the Battle of Britain in 1940. Now he flies solo in his retirement home. He misses his wife and his independence.
Struggling to write his will, an unexpected visitor arrives with dramatic news which turns his life upside down.
The Battle of Britain is over. The battle for Peter is about to begin.
Written and performed by Nicholas Collett with songs recorded by Maria Tecce, this charming, funny and poignant performance blends history, words, music, theatre and video to create an unforgettable live experience. Produced by Tim Marriott, this production is part of an ongoing collaboration between Eastbourne College Theatres and professional practitioners.
The performance features Suzy Elliott and Lucy Skinner, sixth form students from the college, given an opportunity to take part in a professional production as part of Eastbourne Festival, before the show goes on tour.
