Season sees the award-winning Showstopper! come to town

FOLLOWING sell out seasons in Edinburgh and London, award-winning production, Showstopper! The Improvised Musical comes to the Devonshire Park Theatre on June 22-23 as part of The Studio Season.

A writer has just one night to create a hit show to impress his producers.

Stuck for ideas, he takes audience suggestions for a title, storylines and musical styles that they’d like to see in the show. The Showstoppers then set about creating a musical, based around that structure packed with drama, dazzling dance routines and catchy melodies.

Showstopper! plays regular London residencies, has enjoyed three sell-out Edinburgh Fringe seasons and they have just completed their new BBC Radio 4 series with special 30-minute editions of the improvised musicals.

The company consistently win critical and popular acclaim and audiences return to see them again and again because every show is as different as it is brilliant.

With a brand new musical created at every performance, Showstopper! is utterly unpredictable, frequently side-splitting and will leave enchanted audiences singing all the way home.

Evening performances are at 7.45pm with a Wednesday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets cost £12.50, call 412000.
