Brand new comedy Swap! comes to Eastbourne next week and audiences will spot some old friends among the cast.
This production stars Kim Tiddy (The Bill), Freya Copeland (Emmerdale) and David Callister (The Bill) and will be staged at the Devonshire Park Theatre.
Written and directed by Return of the Saint star Ian Ogilvy, the hilarious comedy caper is sure to be a comic treat.
Kim Tiddy is no stranger to Eastbourne, having performed in the acclaimed play Double Death and most recently with David Hasslehoff in the comedy 90’s musical Last Night a DJ Saved My Life.
Freya Copeland last appeared in Eastbourne in the thriller Stone Cold Murder last summer and David Callister is a virtual Devonshire Park regular with his praised appearance in Secondary Cause of Death earlier this year.
Brian and his wife Susan want to do something different for their holidays this year and decide to do a house swap with an ex-pat who now lives in Spain, but things don’t work out quite as planned.
As the tired couple arrive and unpack in sunny Spain it doesn’t take long for them to discover they’ve unknowingly traded houses with a British gangster! The mess gets bigger and the clean-up gets sillier as ex-girlfriends, twin brothers and dead bodies all start piling up in this fast fabulous farce.
Swap! comes to Eastbourne as part of a national tour and is produced by Brighton based production team Talking Scarlett who brought previous hits Educating Rita, Boeing Boeing and Table Manners.
It is more than 30 years since Ian Ogilvy make his name as the smoothest of charmers in Return Of The Saint but he also appeared memorably in Ripping Yarns and I, Claudius, many TV and stage productions such as Murder She Wrote, and films such as Death Becomes Her. He has written two novels and two plays.
Swap! will run nightly at 7.45pm with Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm, tickets priced at £15.50 - £21.50 with concessions available, to book or for more information call the box office on 01323 412000 or online www.eastbournetheatres.co.uk.
