Local performer and director Natalie Roberts from Eastbourne, who also runs the Natalie Roberts Performing Arts School in Old Town, has launched new theatre company Against The Tide which is putting on It’s Only Life at the Brighton Fringe next month.
This musical revue of intimate songs examines the complexities of relationships in the 21st Century and will be performed at the other place @ The Basement in Kensington Street, Brighton (BN 1 4AJ) on Tuesday, May 5/Wednesday, May 6 (8.30pm) and Sunday, May 17 (7.30pm).
The show is in great hands with musical direction being provided by James McCullagh who has recently finished Rufus Norris’s acclaimed tour of Cabaret starring Will Young.
A cast of seven include Chris Barton (Hairspray UK tour, Spring Awakening West End) & Nikki Gerrard (Scrooge West end, Into The Woods, The Emporium). Other cast members are Natalie Roberts, Steve Stapley, Jenny Delisle and introducing Steph Horn from Arabesque school of Performing Arts (Chichester) and Josh Macey who is currently studying Musical Theatre at The Brighton Academy.
The show is being directed by emerging, young director Ben Smith, who trained on the directing program at Rose Bruford.
