Dara is one of the most recognisable faces on TV as host of Mock The Week, Star Gazing Live, and Robot Wars but live stand up is his passion. Drawing on his mathematics and theoretical physics background, Dara has also hosted shows such as Dara O’Briain’s Science Club for BBC2. His first book Beyond The Sky; You And The Universe was released last year.

It’s been three years since Dara took to the Congress stage and there is nothing he adores more than a theatre. “I sat in an empty theatre thinking - I just love these rooms. I’m on the board of the Theatres Trust in order to protect these wonderful buildings. It’s not about nimby-ism; it’s because I adore these places. It still gives me such a thrill to walk on stage.”

“When you arrive at an empty theatre, the potential is immense. You think - this is going to be magical. Then, when the show starts and you hear those waves of laughter in the auditorium, it’s just so enjoyable. It’s a huge rush.”

The king of audience interaction takes to the stage where he relishes exchanging ultra-rapid fire quips with members of the audience, and delivers witty anecdotes like no other stand-up comedian.

Tickets £24 available online at eastbournetheatres.co.uk or call on 01323 412000.
