Take tour around a 183 yr old treasure
If you've never looked around Eastbourne's Victorian gem in Seaside Road there is an open invitation to do so.
Volunteer Pam Kuhn said: “The Royal Hippodrome Friends invite readers to come on Friday morning May 6 at 10.30 am and take the Theatre Tour. Our guide will tell you some of the history and then visitors will be given the opportunity to stand on the stage where so many famous artistes have played. From there you will go to backstage areas not normally available to the public, and we know you will find it a fascinating and informative experience. The tour lasts approx 90 minutes and tickets at £4.50 are available on the door. If you can’t make it this time then why not join us on the first Friday of every month at the same time. We don’t offer this in December or January, but otherwise you can be assured of a warm welcome.”
