Motorcycle and circus fans alike, take heed – direct from three sold-out seasons in Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland – Zippo’s Cirque Berserk is bringing its stunning mix of contemporary ‘cirque’ style skills and off-the-scale thrilling stunt action to the Congress Theatre from January 26-28, on its first-ever UK theatre tour.
Full of extraordinary characters, Cirque Berserk has something for all ages with a fire-eating narrator, knife throwing, ultimate high-wire, heart-stopping aerial silk displays and the world’s most dangerous circus act – the legendary Globe of Death.
Witness, live on stage, three dare-devil riders of the Lucius motorcyclist team speed around inside a steel cage at over 60mph.
This tour will be the first time a Globe of Death motorcycle troupe has performed in a theatrical setting in the UK. Add to this a troupe of over 30 jugglers, acrobats, aerialists, dancers, musicians and death-defying stuntmen and it’s easy to see how this danger-filled spectacle has become Britain’s favourite Circus.
Cirque Berserk is at the Congress from Sunday, January 26, to Tuesday, January 28 (Sunday 7pm, Monday 5pm/7.30pm, Tuesday 2.30pm/7.30pm). Tickets priced from £13 - £22 are available from the box office on 01323 412000 or online at www.eastbournetheatres.co.uk.
