Sounds of the Sixties back to life on stage

SOME of the Sounds of the Sixties, played live – plus the news headlines that also grabbed our attention at the time.

That’s the mix that will be on offer at the Under Ground Theatre at its weekly coffee morning on February 12 (10am-noon). In How Time Flies, the musical trio Cornflower Blue will be taking us back exactly 50 years – to 1961. With the help of some of their talented friends, they will be recreating the hit songs of that historic year – and recalling some of the main (and not so main) events that dominated the news on radio and TV, and in the papers.

Cornflower’s Chris Liddiard, Jill Daw and Bob Shepherd will be opening their songbooks- and their old newspapers – at 10am.

Entry is free.
