Puccini’s story comes to Congress Theatre

AFTER the success of last year’s visit, London Festival Opera return to the Congress Theatre, on July 5 (7.30pm), this time with the exquisite production A Passion For Puccini.

This concert traces the story of Puccini’s life, which in itself was as dramatic as an operatic plot, together with costumed highlights from his most celebrated works.

The evening will include stunning renditions of some of his popular work including classics, La Boheme, Tosca and Madama Butterfly, through to his final opera, Turandot. This exquisite concert will delight opera lovers.

London Festival Opera is renowned for producing highly engaging productions in a variety of venues, from theatres to castles, embassies to gardens, with recent worldwide engagements including Marrakech, Barbados and Moscow. Particular highlights for the company have included performances for HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, The President of Malta, Baroness Thatcher and The Right Honorable Betty Boothroyd.

A Passion For Puccini brings together established artists from the major British opera companies, such as English National Opera, the Royal Opera and Glyndebourne.

Together with exceptional young singers they present this story of one of the greatest and most popular opera composers of all time.
