Phoenix Choir prepares for summer concert

PHOENIX Choir’s Summer Concert is being held on June 4 (7.30pm) at St Saviour’s Church.

The concert, led by guest conductor Jane Pendry will start with well loved choral choruses from Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi, Franck, Haydn, Schubert and Bruckner, two opera choruses from Verdi and solo performances from talented recorder player Eileen Godier and mezzo-soprano Rebecca Kelly.

After the interval the choir will sing The Sprig of Thyme, a collection of English folk songs arranged by John Rutter. There will be a retiring collection in aid of Diabetes UK. Tickets are £10 from The Tourist Information Centre, Bonners Music Store in Langney Road or call 761194.
