Joining in with the first ever Eastbourne Music Live week, the Under Ground Theatre will host a different live music concert every night from 13-17 July.

With home-grown singer-songwriter David Ford is the headline at act at the Under Ground on Monday (July 13), as he returns to his hometown fresh from a triumphant Glastonbury performance.

The show begins at 7.30pm, with support acts Thyla and Dirty Mirror Traits.

On Tuesday Hand Picked Promotions proudly present Evi Vine and Big World Blue with support from folk singer-songwriter, Alex Thomas.

With beautiful evocative songs, Evi Vine brings a deeply atmospheric and awakening performance.

Big World Blue has created a new musical world of enchanting sounds and ethereal voices, which they bring to the Under Ground Theatre.

The residency continues on Wednesday with a lively night of rockin’ Cajun, Zydeco and New Orleans Blues from Rough Chowder and The Cajun Dawgs.

On Thursday BBC 6 Music favourites The Wave Pictures, headline the Under Ground Theatre on Thursday 16 July with support from And Now The Weather.

The week of live music ends with Rio Bravo presenting a night of all female energetic alternative rock and scorching talent, featuring Echo and the Beats, Reverbed, Vanity of Idols and V for Ventura.

Friday also brings the Little Music Marathon to Eastbourne’s Little Chelsea area as part of Eastbourne Music Live.

All free of charge, eight bands will perform in four venues in South Street; The Eagle, The Dolphin, The Dew Drop and Maxims, allowing audiences to follow their favourite band or get comfortable in one place and let the music marathon come to them.

South of Saturn, Black Stems, Kingsize Slim, Sebastian Vale, Strum ‘n’ Bass, The Equatorial Group, Tiger Mouse and Jeremiah Longhshanks all perform at the Little Music Marathon.

Eastbourne Extreme takes place at the eastern end of the seafront, takes on the residency to complete the week of Eastbourne Music Live on 18-19 July.

The free event features L.A.R.G.E, Smythe, Smythe & Smythe, Cardboard Hit and Dub ‘n’ Tuff All Stars on the live stage.
