Showaddywaddy are back on the road and rolling into the Congress Theatre with their teddy boy suits on Tuesday August 30.
Formed in the 1970s in Leicester from several local bands, this group originally caught the public’s attention as runners-up in old school TV talent show New Faces.
They have since sold more than 20 million records and have toured all corners of the world extensively. During their impressive history the band has made over 300 television appearances and spent 209 weeks in the UK singles charts. This summer sees the independent release of brand new, studio recorded album Next Chapter which features 15 songs, and also includes the first self-penned material for many years.
Famed for their covers of 1950’s and 1960’s hits the size of the band allows for members to team together to perform as a vocal backing group when it’s not their turn to play an instrument - so this is a real showman’s show.
Dynamic and uplifting this live gig features all of their biggest hits, many of which reached number one in the pop charts of Europe.
Experience the juke box melodies of Under The Moon of Love, Three Steps to Heaven, Hey Rock & Roll, When, Blue Moon, Pretty Little Angel Eyes and many more.
Join this fun and nostalgic dancing party and see if you’ve got what it takes - performance starts at 7.30pm. Tickets priced £19.50 available online at eastbournetheatres.co.uk or call box office on 01323 412000.
