A unique evening will be experienced in South Street on Saturday July 30 when a 1923 classic film is screened alongside organ accompaniment from 7.30pm.
Paul Collins commented: “We at St Saviour’s are really excited to be presenting our first silent movie; Victor Hugo’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame starring Lon Chaney. The movie is of course one of the classic oldies and the surroundings of our great Victorian church will be provide a great venue and atmosphere for this. Add to the that he brilliant organ playing of Jonathan Eyre, who is providing the musical background. Jonathan is no stranger to us and never fails to impress with his superb yet always sensitive playing. He was until recently the assistant Director of Music at Bradford Cathedral. He has also just gained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Organists’ diploma.”
Entry £5 - which goes to the cost of the licence and performance - plese bring your own refreshments.
