Lewes-based chamber choir Pro Musica presents Summertime on Broadway at St Andrew’s Church, Alfriston, on Sunday June 26 at 6pm.
The audience will hear numbers by Cole Porter, Harry Warren and George Gershwin from shows such as 42nd Street, Chicago, West Side Story and more. The concert will also feature The Maestro Players on saxophones.
Directed by Ray Maulkin, with Adam Le Clerq on piano, Frank Fox-Wilson on percussion and Colin Moore on double bass, this promises to be an evening of popular music concluding with a glass of wine. Pro Musica members are a mix of experienced singers and those new to choral singing. They perform a varied repertoire of work - anything from Bach to the Beach Boys. Tickets £10 (children up to 14 free) and can be bought on the door or from choir members, or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
