Another morning of breathtaking musical entertainment is guaranteed at the Under Ground Theatre – when jug band Skiddle-Am-Bam get together in one of their very occasional reunions on July 27.

While coffee and cakes are served in the UGT coffee-bar, Skiddle-Am-Bam will be performing in the auditorium from 10am until noon, with just a short break.

It will cost you nothing to come in and listen.

On stage will be most of the original Skiddle line-up. Percussionist and organiser Sean O’Rourke will be joined by mandolin-player Nick Horsefield and Richard Walder (tea-chest bass), a UGT regular these days as one half of the duo “R’n’R”. Expert guitar playing will be provided by the “other half” of “R’n’R”, Ron Turner.

The result will be a mixture of folk music, blues, jug songs, skiffle, country – and more!
