If a flash of tartan and some platform shoes mean only one thing then you’ll be thrilled to know that Les McKeown is bring the Bay City Rollers to Eastbourne.
The band will perform at the Royal Hippodrome Theatre on Saturday September 12 at 8pm.
2015 has seen them play across Japan, Canada and Europe, and now the band is gearing up for an extensive tour following summer appearances at many shows and festivals, including headlining the Dalriada Music Festiva.
This September will also mark the release of the band’s new single, Boomerang, as they team up with Legendary Scottish producer and songwriter John McLaughlin (McBusted).
The music of the Bay City Rollers became the soundtrack for a generation of teenagers growing up in the mid 70’s. Front man Les was the voice of the tartan popsters as they were propelled to superstardom, with massive hits including Bye Bye Baby, Shang a Lang, Summer Love Sensation and Give A Little Love and USA number 1 Saturday Night. The current line up brings a new energy and excitement to all the original hits. Fans still celebrate the days when Rollermania and the Bay City Rollers’ reached every corner of the globe.
