Back by huge popular demand on Saturday July 25 at the Under Ground Theatre is Recycled - and that sums up both the musicians and their repertoire, according to the band.
All five members of Recycled are over 65, and able to turn their talents to the hits of the fifties and sixties, as well as skiffle and country music. They’ll be taking to the stage at 10am, and will play for two hours. Numbers include Roll over Beethoven, Apache, The Young Ones, Ghost Riders in the Sky, and many more. Entry is free.
Band-organiser Bryan Naish is lead singer, and plays tea-chest bass. On drums is Bob Edwards, and the three guitarists are Tony Fry, Colin Sargent and Dave Lowen. Like almost all the Saturday performers at the UGT, they play for the sheer fun of it - and last time they had the audience jiving in the aisles.
